gosh.. in the blink of an eye, 7 days has zoomed by and our trip to taiwan with hong thai travel can be classified as history already. we set off on 19th december and returned home on the 25th, in time for the last few minutes of christmas... im already beginning to miss our tour group people, those lengthy bus rides, those great hotels, those bumping of heads in the bus, and just about everything in taiwan(except the food, no offense). i sense history repeating itself man. i wrote exactly the same way a year ago when we returned from our china trip. hmm i guess this will probably be a pretty long post... i know its pretty boring to read about other people's travel stories but heck anyway.
taiwan's hotels were really nice! plus there are soooo many channels on their tv... so we usually watch til really late at night before turning in... i just uploaded the photos into a cd... wow cant believe we like taking pictures so much... just 7 days and we took so many. haiz.. too bad we didnt take any group photo. i want to keep it as a memento! our tour group people were really nice.. .especially the ones sitting around us.. one of which was Sec 4 too, like my sister. he(jianming i think) was chao gao xiao and was probably the only one who liked eating the "bing nang" or whatever u call it. according to our dao you, gary, it was a type of fruit which will remind one of one's first love and cause our faces to turn red and our hearts to beat faster. HAHA, sounds like some kinda drug? its not... its just.... a weird fruit i guess. we all tried the bing nang and most people didnt turn red or have their hearts beating faster(according to gary, if we dun turn red or anything, it either means our first love was bland or we simply dun have one. HOWever, mam went red after eating it! the one behind us, jianming i think, claimed that he felt his neck burn. hahaha. anyway, i thought the taste sucked, so i spat it out almost immediately after i ate it. yuck, why would anybody like eating that??
oh yeah, i felt an earthquake in taiwan!!! what an experience mann.. i was still tossing about in bed at about 3am on day 3 or 4 i think, when i felt the bed shaking a little. and then i thought it was my sister who kept turning about! haha.. it was only in the morning when we watched the news that we realised there really was a slight earthquake during that time. luckily, it wasnt severe! hehe, otherwise i wouldnt be here typing this.
we spent quite a lot in taiwan, especially on food and our stuffs.. gosh. probably burnt quite a hole in those pockets..
i really like our tour group this year.. most of them were really really nice, especially the ultra helpful family who lent us battery charges when they probably need to charge their own stuffs too. thanks mr and mrs chua! and their two sons! (: (im glad we stay at the same level hotel most of the time, so we can borrow stuffs or sth. hee. :D ) their sons were about our age (actually there were many who were about our age, including one family with 4 cousins and one of them looked like a female version of kouga! haha, too bad we didnt have a chance to talk to her or anything tho)
ehh.. but the person who sort of left the bigger impression on me was this semi funny, semi pai4, semi shua3 ku4 and semi bochap person. he was chao ji camera shy and has a pretty weird personality.. but he smokes(although his cousin, jianming i think, claims he was supposed to have jie4 diao4 already). eew. hmm.. but at least he was entertainment value.. (: what with his act bochapness and loner image and occasionally making a really funny quote. ah well, there are just all sorts of people out there i guess.. how interesting. (:
the rest of them were nice too, but i shouldnt elaborate, since i'll probably bore the hell outta people.
oh and how coincidental. we were shopping in taipei for computer related stuffs and i saw a person i knew from some scrabble practice some time ago! i remembered him as the shuqun person with bingoes scrawled all over his hand and the one who always wanted to knew if we were still in cup or sth during the competition. i guess maybe taiwan is pretty popular bah.
we watched quite a few movies and drama serials while we were in taiwan, such as step up, scoop, for horowitz, a series of unfortunate events, silence, ginger snaps... and blah blah blah. argh, i feel so nostalgic.. i wanna return to taiwan and experience those lengthy bus rides, early morning calls and friendly batterings again! haiz. too bad. good things dun last forever.
down to earth , me.
down to doing all those homework (SHIT! i haven done any)
down to going back to school.
eh, which reminds me i checked my classes allocation already. i'll be in 3 truth. first time a truthian.
