hmm.. went to watch pirates of the Caribbean the dead man's chest on Saturday at lido.. Sad to say, the cinema hall can be categorized as sucky. But the movie was quite good.. It was really funny, especially Johnny depp acting as captain jack sparrow.. He was damn eccentric.. But there was one thing I couldn't understand... Why did Elizabeth leave sparrow behind on the ship?? Ok so maybe she wanted to save her own skin but they will still have to go and save him in the end so like what was the point? Maybe it was just a plot so that they could have a third installment or sth.. aiya dunno la..

monday: boring boring boring.

tuesday: boring boring boring too. for comm meeting i just had to sit there writing my national day script and talking to xinying, roxanne and vanessa. uh.. and i borrowed like what three books when i have so many upcoming tests... tsk tsk.

wednesday: nothing except watching my two favourite singapore idol contestants get thru to the next round.. craps.

thursday: (we had to pump balloons as a decoration purpose and my arm ached man.. i didnt know pumping balloons could be this tedious.) this was finally the day for our sec 4 seniors to step down.. it was quite sad in a way and we took like so many pictures with each other.. i hope jeridyn zhenying and shiying they all will remember to send us the photos.. priscilla they all planned everything and i suppose we'll have to try to do good job next year too.. zhenying will start fan ning me about it de.. haha, so we better start planning on it earlier next year.. the sec 4s stepping down gave us some memorabilia .. one of them included a "hanky" in case we wept for them.. haha, good idea eh.. afterwards.. we gathered together as a big group and talked crap.. it led all the way to us discussing about what we would do to the supposed flasher at macdonalds near our school.. it was damn hilarious can.. hui pin was like saying that she'd rather not see it now so she can have a surprise next time.. *cackle cackle* haha. so sick. next year when the new batch of sec 4s step down i'll probably just buy presents for the ones im more familar with.. maybe xinyi and zhenying... anyway, mrs tian gave me a shock.. she told us that there'd be another scrabble competition coming up in august.. gosh.. will we be maluated? aargh, i've got to stop thinking like that.. must have faith in my seniors man! instead of the previous abeline, jeridyn, michelle, xinyi and myself combination, it has become a xinyi, victoria, nicole, huisy and myself compilation. never mind, determination itself will overcome things.. just like how we overcame all odds to emerge champs in april (gosh, it seems as though it was years ago when it was only 3 odd months ago! anyway, why didnt connexio publish our achievement? they kept pushing it back til by now, i suppose it would have slipped out of their minds. haiz. this is reality. even when you get champions for a competition like this, it is not worthy of any mention. it is obviously not equivalent to other sports coming in third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth or even a mere participation. we've got to accept a fact here. reality bites, it bites cruelly). that small outburst brings me to something else.. in school, during pledge taking, i have no qualms about singing the national anthem and reciting the national pledge. however, i have this bizarre tendency to keep mum during the school anthem and pledge. it just shows the complete contrast between my patriotism towards country and school. lest u think im biased, there is actually a strong reason behind this statement. apparently, my school is a "world class school" but in actual fact, they care mainly about sports and nothing else in particular. hang on, maybe it is not sports, it is probably just track. that is one(among many others i'd be better off not to relate) reason why i cant wait to get out of this school and proceed on to a jc. i'll definitely visit again next time, but only to my fellow librarians and the good teachers. i'll come back, relieved that i'm no longer in this school but at the same time, fond of the memories i'll have of my friends and not the place itself. it's hard to really describe my feelings for a school that i'll be at for ten years and i hope that in two years' time, i'll be able to put it into words. :) anyway, i realised that im going off topic(not that there was any to begin with but.. gah).. i just hope my new team will do ok too.. at least, there's still the dong dong. :D

friday: erm.. tuition. what else? oh and i finally finished reading the book lihui wanted to read.. haha.. my officially retired senior.

saturday: met up with stef today at kino to get nicole's present before going to lido to watch pirates of the carribean the dead man's chest. i think i mentioned right at the top but the cinema was really small, coupled with the big man's head in front of me, my view was like partially blocked. but it was still worthwhile as the movie was funny and nerving at times. i spent $20 alone on this trip.. but stefanie was worse.. she practically used up her $50 note.. nicole could have spent quite a considerable amount too, but she backed out of buying the book at borders after finding out that it was actually more than 20 bucks.. anyway, jolene said that lido had a few really nice cinema halls specially reserved for the newer and more popular movies.. how sad.. we didnt get to watch our movie in there.. :( after walking around quite a bit, we uh went home (sounds cliche eh?). my overall thoughts of the trip was that stefanie was as crazy as ever and nicole's hair grew as long as her english accent now.. we still whack each other, which is a good sign.. i mean, one just flew back from england, the other i have not seen in like months ever since she went to her accursed new school. luckily we didnt behave like strangers or anything, i still felt at ease in their presence... hmm.. i watched another movie later on, albeit not in a cinema hall.. it's be with me or something like that, shown on channel 56 at 9. i suppose this singapore film was quite meaningful but a tad bit boring... wouldnt really recommend it to others though. hehe. :p

sunday: went to my granny's house today... got somewhat disheartened at the state she was in.. i'm in no position to criticize anybody or whatsoever but my heart really goes out to this granny of mine. truth be told, i miss how she would scold me "wai dan" in canto. hmm and now one of her eye cannot be opened, she doesnt have much strength to walk and she's almost skin and bones! one would almost wonder if she was starved of her rightful amount of food or sth. during her short stint in our house, she gobbled down her food in lightning speed... it was as though she had not eaten for days.. in her old age.. shouldnt she be allowed to at least eat more??

monday:it's the start of the week all over again.. and again, i'm racing against time.. isabelle has already studied geography but the ever lazy me is only concerned about reading books. if this goes on, i'm dying! seline, you've got to buck up.. and finish that darned essay on o lan and lotus. anyway, i walked home with jessica today.. haha, and i thought her mother would pick her up.. but walking is healthy i suppose, even though it is somewhat time consuming.

dang. zhenying just called me. she wants me to open the library tmr... oops, i hope i'm let off early mann.. so i can get everything ready before the sec 1s and 2s pour in. better stop here. my mam's comin back soon...
