hahah! i was reading ronaldinho's blog.. michael owen's blog and xabi alonso's blog just now. ronaldinho's blog was so hilarious!! it was so damn funny man.. he sure does have a sense of humour, what with michael owen's leg looking like rubber and blah blah. u'll know what i mean if u read his blog.. it was written in such a light hearted way that it almost sounded like a schoolboy with the "bah"s and "shoot".

hmm.. but they haven really updated about their elimination yet.. i feel sorry for them.. england's out.. so are brazil.. two pretty good teams in this tournament.. so in the end it was a case of deja vu for both games. england again failed to beat portugal after wayne rooney got sent off for his impulsive behaviour. euro 2004 was somewhat the same. wayne rooney had to go off because of an injury and england went on to lose on penalties later in the game. it's the same thing once again. i feel sympathetic towards them.. after all, their performance against portugal was quite commendable despite playing with only ten men.. reporters will definitely criticise them yet again, but i guess they did whatever they could to suppress the portugal team. nobody wants to lose, right? but it can really affect you when u see grown men cry.. especially when the players come from the team u've supported since u were barely 9 years old. it was devastating to see them crash out like that when they have actually defended really well at the back. alas, they spurned a few really important chances and it most certainly cost them the game. i thought they should have tried to kill off the game in the first half when they still had 11 men on the field instead of leaving things til late in the game. but ah well, what's over is over and nothing we say will make england get thru to the semis anyway. but it's ok. we shall have faith in them and wait til euro 2008 to see what magic they can conjure under new manager steve mcclaren. i hope he wont turn out to be a replica of sven goran eriksson. granted, he is an ok manager. but to manage england, the person has to be an ULTRA GOOD one. :DD hopefully, in 2008 and subsequently in 2010, we wont see england tears again. then, we shall see smiles all the way til they lift the trophies. :))) at least, i hope so. :)

now with both brazil and england out of the world cup, it sure looks as though germany are poised to win the cup. it is like a fairytale ending set just for the home nation, with the strong teams getting knocked out before they even face them. it sure looks as though lady luck sure is smiling down on them, even though they have to watch out for france though. especially a certian player called zinedine zidane. he has been putting in good performances for france so far. i'll be looking forward to a france germany final now i suppose. haiz, world cup is once again coming to an end. now we'll have to wait for 4 long years before the next one starts again. :( cheh, there'll be nothing to look forward to after world cup.. unless u count EPL bah.

hmm, i was reading my sister's blog and cant help but be amused by it. did i really have those sort of reactions whilst watching the match?? well, probably. cuz i was watching and rooting for a team which failed me three times consecutively. haiz. :(

anyway, i suddenly recalled something which happened back in 1998. that was when i was 6, and just heard about david beckham and co thru the simeone saga. at that point of time, i was so pissed at my dad for relentlessly watching 22 men kick and chase this one ball on the football pitch for two whole hours nonstop. had i known that i was going to be such an avid fan later on, i would most certainly have freaked out. it was only in 2001 that i suddenly began to take an interest in the sport. i was beginning to find the goals they players scored interesting.. and began to watch it more often. but it was only after 2002 that i really began to chase the sport and support liverpool in the midst of that. but even though i watched many matches during that period of time, believe it or not, i only understood the offside rule when i was 12. well, nvm, at least i made progress. now the whole game is no longer a stranger to me, i can gladly say. if i hadnt watched my dad watch soccer and seen his days as a professional soccer player and referee i bet my life would probably be damn boring now. so, i am glad that i am a soccer fan. it is a beautiful game, one that u can really enjoy. :)

erm, ok. so that was my story? hehe. i'm crapping utter rubbishy things that actually neednt be said. but no matter. i like to write. :)

P.S. i still cant believe my dad was a professional soccer playing last time. haha, why didnt he pass his skills on to me then? kekeke. hmm. im getting bored typing now. guess i shall go explore the footballers' blogs and read up bah. :)

yay, we dun have to report to school tmr. how nice. :) too bad there's no soccer tonite, but i am glad of the slight break though. the dark circles under my eyes are getting so obvious i look like a panda. i guess now's the time to catch up on my beauty sleep and maybe dispatch all those circles. :)
