hmm, so the world cup's last 16 are more or less confirmed already. apart from the shock exclusion of the czech republic and the surprise inclusion of ghana and perhaps australia, almost everything alse went according to prediction.. but personally, i was quite sad that south korea could not get into the next round.. they got beaten 0-2 by switzerland earlier on in the morning with goals from Philippe Senderos (23) and Alexander Frei (77) sealing the swiss victory. haiz, south korea was the only asian team which seemed capable of advancing to the next round.. but it's sad that they cant, despite pulling off a draw against france. so the only asian team who got thru to the last 16 is probably australia, even though they are not officially an asian team yet. anyway, spain performed pretty well last night except for all those missed chances. but i fancy their chances as an outsider, or dark horse.. so in groups g and h, switzerland, france, spain and the ukraine are thru. today's match would be germany v sweden. i suppose the vast home support and their strong attack should see germany thru to the quarter finals..

argh, school's reopening.. how sucky.. which means i'll most probably have to miss the england v ecuador game on sunday. damn. never mind, i shall nap in the afternoon..
