aargh. school has officially reopened. how sucky. i watched the england v ecuador game last night and england grinded out yet another unconvincing 1-0 victory against the south americans. well, i cant be bothered this time round. as long as they get thru, it's probably good enough, even though if they want to proceed further they've got to get their formation and tactics right as soon as possible and up their tempo of the game. david beckham finally scored a goal, a really vital one. they'll now go on to meet portugal in the quarter finals where a loss would see them pack their bags and a repitition of the euro 04 and world cup 02.. i hope they'll pull thru, since they have a really slight advantage over portugal, who had both deco and costinha sent off in a full blooded match against the netherlands.

anyway, it's so sad that none of my friends watches soccer.. so i cant really discuss it with them.. my sister often asks me weird weird questions whenever i try to talk to her about soccer and that's irritating. but i shant fall into her trap! she's out to get me annoyed with her supposed lack of soccer knowledge. who knows. she might actually know something but just want to frustrate me. aargh. i hate school. tomorrow's is going to be a really boring day man. there's absolutely no interesting lessons. and i also realised that surprisingly, i finished up most of my holiday homework compared to many of my classmates, except for isabelle. how.. shocking. anyway, we dun have to go to school on wednesday because of the polling day thing some time back this year. yay!! i can watch the brazil/ghana and spain/france match without any worries!! :) hmm, i suddenly feel like reading books again.. but i doubt i'll have time. i just remembered that i have a science test this week!! i'm so dead.

the countries i support for the world cup:
1. England (their chances of winning? real slim i suppose. :( )
2. South Korea (they're already out. no chance anymore. :( )
3. Spain (they've got chance. they're the dark horses.. )

my favourite players so far:
1. Steven Gerrard (i still think his performance for england so far has been commendable. not the best, but good enough.. scoring two goals and helping out with some crucial tackles)
2. Fernando Torres (he's so talented and consistent... and has already scored 3 goals so far. who knows? he might go on to win the golden boot if miroslav klose slips up somewhere. )
3. Kaka ( what can i say? he's a great player. )

awright. i shall go fill up my world cup calendar and cut out pictures now. been lazy for quite sometime. :DD
