GOSH GOSH GOSH GOSH. THIS IS SO COMPLETELY UNBELIEVABLE! i'm utterly stunned, surprised, shocked! we eventually emerged champions!!! i mean, i never expected bedok south sec to help us edge out hwa chong institution's best team! haha... okie.. i'm so happy and exhilirated that i'm going into complete details of the competition..

we had to wake up chao early in the morning to go fetch michelle, xinyi and jeridyn at amk mrt station and we squeezed like sardines in the car?! haha.. it was a damn uncomfortable journey to marina square la. and then when we reached there it was freezing cold.. saw lan ying jie(he came over to say hello), jeridyn's queenstown opponents and my queenstown opponent.. that shuqun guy was so funny.. kept on trying to talk to us and asking if we remember him whilst trying to free himself from this girl's (presumably his girlfriend) constant pulling of him.. lol.

anyway.. we had to play 5 mind boggling games in all lor.. the first school we played against was bukit panjang government high.. i had this pretty dao opponent who kept on insisting on counting the tiles in the bag.. so i was quite worried that we might not be able to start on time.. but anyway.. i beat my male opponent by about 100 points and it turned out that i was the only one in my team who won against them. my opponent was damn scary can. he kept on trying to fish for bingoes and finally got one at the end which cut down his deficit by 90 over points.. hmmm.. then afterwards michelle's opponent(eugene i think) and my sister's opponent both scolded my opponent til gou xue ling tou.. it made me feel so bad for winning that round lor.. hmm.. so we lost 1-4 for that round. it didnt really matter tho, because the first game dun really count. and this guy we knew from northland was like saying i "power man" or sth. lol.. i'm so not la.

ok.. so my sister hao chou bu chou pian pian got hwa chong's second team.. we were pretty worried cuz hci was supposedly very good.. and so i sat opposite this boy who looked quite cute.. he was like the best looking one among them.. then my sister suddenly told me that he was the opponent she played against when they were in sec 2..! haha, how coincidental. he must be that guan yong jie bah. so true enough he was. and how rite my sister was about him. he was so bochap although he was the team captain mann.. he dint even bother to write down my scores and would ask me for the cumulative scores only after every 5 moves. and he wouldnt even bother counting my words.. he sort of just trusted my countings i suppose.. haha.. but he was really friendly.. and we sort of chatted a little at times.. and he was really polite.. saying thank yous, shaking of hands and smiling all the time. we challenged each other pretty much til it was like a routine whenever i said: "challenge?" and he would reply : "yar challenge. " i remember laughing quite a lot of times at him.. and did i mention that he was really nice and friendly? so different from my first opponent.. we talked about our previous scrabble opponents and i found out that they played against sec 1 rafflesians. he lost to them..lol. then when he found out that i was the only one who won against bukit panjang, he was like giving me this weird look.. and he fished too.. he even resorted to putting down 2 pointers just to fish and i would be so shocked. occassionally he would see my shocked look and laugh and say: "yar. TRYING to fish.." apparently he succeeded and put down "loonies". because of his bingo, i only won by 40 over points.. and guan yong jie was funny.. he tried to challenge "shit" and some swear words to find out if they could be accepted. he even tried to challenge when the game was over already.. haha. we finished our game pretty quick so we sorta conversed together with his other teammate, michelle's opponent. in the end, he shook hands again and said thank you and bye. how er polite. hmm.. anyway.. for that round we won 4-1.. michelle lost tho..sad.. :( afterwards gyj they all met up with lyj they all and lyj told us that "my frens told me u all flattened them." haha.. how funny..

the next school we played against was another power house.. marsiling sec!! haha.. i played against this pretty small sized boy even tho he was sec 3 i think.. but he didnt exactly leave a deep impression on me so i couldnt remember his name.. he wasnt anywhere as friendly as gyj. but anyway i beat him by 170 over points.. and we won that round 4-1, my sister being the only one who lost.

the 4th school we played against was st gabriel's sec i guess. my opponent was called nicholas tan and he was quite nice.. but still not as nice as gyj. ahaha. i beat him by about 170 points i think.. he was quite a gracious loser tho.. haha, and he kept wanting us to compete with bedok south, the team who thrashed them at the beginning.. we won 5-0 for that round. yay. (:

we were pitted against RI for our last game. the sec 1s whom guan yong jie told me were good.. hmm, so i played against hong en and he was quite nice and polite... but he was too quiet la.. plus i was having a splitting headache then for thinking too much.. i won by about 140 points for that round i suppose. we won 3-2 for that round, and both jeridyn and my sister lost..

then we had to wait with trepidation when they were announcing the results.. we knew we were in top three because we won that round but we really didnt expect to get champs lor.. anyway, gyj's team won the bowl championship and when they were walking up to receive the prize, he was shooting me this look which clearly says: " am i hearing wrongly? how come that be?" haha.. so as he walked past us, i was trying to congratulate him. okie.. so afterwards when lyj's team emerged as first runner up i was like shell shocked and almost jumped up in jubilation.. when our school was announced as the champ, i think northland sec, shuqun and RI cheered for us i think.. when we went up on stage i was almost dizzy with delight mann.. it was just a sea of faces that i saw lor.. i couldnt even rmb where gyj was sitting at...

so afterwards people came over to congratulate us.. that shuqun guy with his girlfren, lan ying jie and his team, guan yong jie and his team, our RI opponents and the northland sec people also came over to congratulate us.. how nice.

the prize? $500 cheque(we r so not gonna give it to our school k?! we fought so hard for it). $500 book vouchers. a big trophy. individual trophies and a hamper.

ahhhhh... that sums up my day. probably the most unbelievable day ever.

hmmm.. i still like my hci opponent best... he's the nicest one.

argh.. i am having a splitting headache now. am going to sleep. zz...
