hmmm.. anyway.. i'm here to sum up my week. 3 tests in a week. all of which i'm definitely gonna flunk. there would be two more next week. aargh.

monday: it was really a weird day.. emotions ran high and they were mixed. i didnt know if i should feel happy or sad.. after narrowly edging out hci on sunday it was quite disheartening to come back to school. i sort of hoped the finals were for two whole days instead of just one... anyway mrs goh was telling the school about our achievement and mentioned that they were rather upset. well, why shouldnt they? it was their rightful title and we stole it from under their noses. she presented us with our individual champion trophies and all before we had to go down to do the stupid and sickening family dance.. monday also made me realise that i really like playing scrabble a lot.. it's just sad that the sec 4s would be leaving and the new team next year will probably not be as enthu as our team this year and would probably not be ambitious as well. :( we had to give up our champion trophy to the OM and it's probably lost somewhere. after all, a scrabble championship is not significant to our school where sports are the top priorities.

tuesday: erms. we had comm meeting today.. was chatting with angelique and my sister about scrabble stuffs.. i hope we can train the sec 1s before austin tan comes back... like what angelique suggested.. jodie kept giving us weird looks.. haha, she's probably clueless about our obsession with scrabble i suppose.. jocelyn too.. anyway we spent most of the time chatting among ourselves rather than doing mrs khong's work. heh... XD

wednesday: sheesh. what a failing memory. that sinister smile just freaks me out ok?!!

thursday: ahhh.. here comes the day i've been waiting(hey this is a bingo!) to blog about. we brought the hamper and cheque to school to divide among ourselves.. and took some team photos.. but it was as if our team were divided just like the contents of the hamper. each will go their own way afterwards. the phrase which says that people are most closely bonded together when they are training very hard for something is really apt and we would always have a common topic to talk to each other about- scrabble. haiz...

anyway.. austin tan came to our school to give a post briefing on the finals. one phrase will always ring in my head: "the innocent party won". he told us that bukit panjang govt high and marsiling both strategized so that they could get easier opponents. apparently, their plan backfired and they had to compete with each other. just their luck. bpgh was supposedly the strongest team there. no wonder our team lost to them 1-4. xinyi's opponent was even sent to the world scrabble championship before! and miraculously she only lost by 50 points which austin tan said was a good feat.. :) he also mentioned that among the final six teams who were competing in the cup finals raffles and our team were the weakest. bedok south and hwa chong institution were somewhere in the middle. apparently marsiling and bukit panjang government high were the best.. so it was purely luck that we won the competition.. i mean, it's true rite.. hci and pukit panjang both won by 3-2 but hwa chong had 70 points less than us for the spread and bukit panjang had a negative spread. whew. :) thank heavens. anyway, i think austin tan mentioned something about the other HCI team (our opponents)too.. he said when they lost 3 consecutive games and were relegated to the bowl championship they had no alternatives but to win it.. hmmm...

friday: today. free like shit. bored like shit too. disheartened like shit too.
