hear me sing, hear me laugh, hear me shout. really. first, i'm going into details of the day's happenings.. a day important to us scrabble memebers. the second year running already. anyway, just to be random and adding on, my seniors came to my house to hone our "scrabble skills" on tuesday. mainly xinyi, rina, huisy and michelle. gosh, they were really funny.. especially my ah beng senior xinyi. hehe, finally found someone who's interested in sports(soccer) as well. XD at the end of their 'visit', our living room was in a sorta mess. it was really hilarious playing with them and i think i laughed til i got phelgm stuck in my throat or sth. too bad jeridyn couldnt come because of her learning journey thing tho.. otherwise it might be even funnier with her weird weird actions and cute cute sounds. hmm, i played with michelle(malu kaez.a bit the trailing by 40 points b4 she ended the game la.), xinyi (bahaha! wo de senior, we r on par now.. even tho i only ying by 20 odd points.) , and abeline. (kaoz. very la. i play with this sista of mine at least a hundred and one times that we ni le. we drew in the end cuz of our SIMILAR playing style. but i had to minus off my "N" and give the point to her. so she won by like 2 points la you mei you. )

wah seh. i just realised that i can really go off topic la. from today's happenings i jump to yesterday's. tsk tsk. okie anywaez.. back to the official scrabble competition now...

i practically had to lug my big fat self from my comfortable bed to get up at about 5.45 am just to bathe and be fresher. after a while we zapped off to amk station to meet jeridyn, michelle, huifang and samantha b4 zooming off to yishun mrt. we found elise waiting impatiently for the arrivals of us. wahaha. we were that late meh? luckily we didnt lose our way this time round. we got to northland sec pretty early and settled in our positions. we were seated 5 in a row and i got a walkover!!! dun think it's a good thing. it is so not. our team were supposed to thrash but with a walkover, we can only get a spread of positive 50 points. i then got a bit egoistic and requested not to be the one to have the walkover. i wanna thrash, full stop. sorry, michelle. :( i still feel bad but in the end michelle was really brave and decided to be the one with the walkover and play over at table X. my opponent, junwei, who is sec 2, was really exasperating. for EVERY SINGLE move i put down, he would "tsk" me and give a frustrated groan. erps. the board was really tight, "all thanks to you" as he put it. sorry la, i really didnt want to close up but i just cant help it, i'm too used to closing up boards which requires tiles to be placed on them. in the end i won by about 160 points and our team's overall spread for that round against east view secondary was 1099 points. :) yeah.. we were quite satisfied with the results but rather sore too. if we didnt have any walkover, would we thrash by even more? haiya.. it may just be my wishful thinking.. but there's a really high possibilty. :)

our second opposing school was north vista sec. my sista's opponent was really funny! she was called sherilyn(however u spell it) or sth like that. always so sarcastic yet blur. she even asked if "*uck" was accepted or not!! haha.. i got a malay opponent and thrashed her by about 260 points. she was really nice, sec 3, unlike my first opponent (he was gu li gu guai). but i got two hocus pocus "bingoes" challenged off. mainly larries and coories or sth like that. hehe. for that game, it was 5-0 in favour of our team again and this time, without any walkovers, our total team spread was about 1333 points or sth like that. yeah!!! another happi happi!

the last game was the scariest. trust me... yishun town sec was scary.. not in the physical way but in the mental way(no they are not crazy, they just resort to mind games quite often). my sista's opponent kept saying things like "see? they are not even nervous. that goes to show that they belittle us and think we are shit. lets pretend and play along. we shall pray and pray..... in the hope that we will not lose by too much. we're resigned to our fate. " erm, of course i dun rmb every single word he says so this is just a rough guide. but like wth? he's so.... plus he keeps telling my sista that he'll "catch up soon. see? already catching up". all of them were sec 2s, same age as yours truly. in the end, i won my malay opponent by about 201 points(he was pretty nice, better than my sista's opponent). this time our spread was bout 866 points or sth like that... meaning that our total team spread for all three games were amounted to about 3000 plus.

i really really hope that with this results, we might be able to get in the finals or sth... we can only cross our fingers and hope now.. the results will be released 10 working days later...... :( scary scary. jeridyn, my sista, xinyi, michelle and myself. may the force(and luck)be with us. amen.

P.S. the scrabble competition was featured on television!! haha, and i saw elise, victoria and nicole ann, my seniors! hohoho... so funny la... all because we were trying to break the guiness world records by having the most number of games of scrabble played simultanously.

p.p.s. i overheard a few RI students talking when i was at the bus stop. that grp didnt win all the games!haha.. that means we still got a chance.. hehe, xing zai le huo.. but brian told me that his friend(he's from manjusri) and teammate got thrashed by about 390 points by a rafflesian! they damn suay la, play against RI, nanyang girls and woodlands sec.. lucky we didnt get those schools..... ah wells. if we get into the finals, then we might.
