it is the first day of a new term. you walk into your classroom (with your heavy bag lugging you down) amidst the loud chattering of your classmates. you fling your bag on the chair and flip open the newspaper laid neatly on your table. turning to your classmates, you relate the happenings during the holidays to them. at that moment, you hear tremendous footsteps and look up. you are surprised that such a small sized teacher could make so much noise. you hear her tell you that she will be changing your seats today. you shiver in trepidation and wish with all your might that you will seat with nice people again. when you hear the teacher call your name, you let out a gasp. lady luck was not smiling at you today. you were to be seated with the class tyrant, magdalene. you realize that you had just been admiring her guts with your neighbour a few days ago and silently reproach yourself for that. as you walk towards your new seat, you heart skips a beat. you await the doom which has yet to befall you....
